We're rolling?!

My green screen is officially up.
But I'm still waiting for the lights to come in and it might take a couple weeks.
I have already made a video using it but the quality is not so good.
Don't worry, it should improve once I get my lights.
I'm going to be making some changes to this site as I get ready to release my new YouTube channel.
I'm gonna try to make some neat little intros to start out with.

I guess it's sorta misleading since I set up the black screen and use the green screen.
It was a last minute decision and I didn't think to film myself setting up the green one soo..oh well, deal with it.

I got my license and a job =D

I have the rest of the week off after tomorrow.
So be looking forward to some new productions!
My cousin is coming here on Tuesday to help me get my studio set up and then we're gonna do some filming!
Oh yah, did I mention that my studio is gonna be in my room?!
Well it is!
I'll have my bed and desk on one side, and my 10'x12' green screen on the opposite wall!

Nicole is in college?!

I have to take night classes >.> grr
And on top of that I have band.
And with my college classes and newspaper and PALS and Spanish Club and Book Club and Student Council, I just don't have time for making videos.
Plus my dad is taking the laptop to San Francisco so I won't have all my programs with me.
I've been coming up with some neat little ideas for the future.
So I'll be on hiatus for awhile...that's the right term, right? o O
I'll try to post some videos that I think are worth watching from time to time though.

I Don't Know?!

The song is I Don't Know by Erika.
I ran into it while listening to my techno station on Pandora radio.
As I listened to this song, I envisioned a girl walking around in a sort of LaLa Land as all these weird things around her are occurring and she doesn't know why.
I had never seen the actual music video, but I watched it yesterday and it's actually kind of along the lines of what I wanted to do with this song!
My brother and I were sitting in the living room, hyper and bored.
We wanted to make a video but didn't know what to do.
I played the song for him and told him my idea and he LOVED it!
We sat around brainstorming for about 20 minutes thinking of just random, bizarre things.
I had to leave to Meet the Teachers, which is where I got Amy to do her little cameo for the top friends thing.
After that, I went to Wal-Mart and got some random footage of me walking around.
The WoW character you'll see on the toy shelf is Whiterabbit.
The red bear doesn't symbolize anything this time, it's just the only stuffed animal I had that was the right size for what I wanted to do.
Yes, Zach is holding it around the corner, but I hope that's not too obvious when you watch it.
It was Matthew's idea to fish in the toilet.
We had to tie the fishing line to a tennis ball to hold it down.
The magazine Matthew is reading is Seventeen.
And he would like it to be noted that he does not actually read Seventeen.
The reason she sees Zach reading Twilight is because anyone that knows Zach knows that he would never in a million years read that book.
The room scene is a little weird to understand.
Pretty much she is seeing things that aren't really there.
The man costume in this one isn't as good because Nicole was stupid and didn't pull her hair back well enough and the shirt wasn't buttoned all the way.
Matthew was supposed to be the one wearing the kimono.
I got it on him and he was okay with it but then we went into the kitchen and my mom was in there and Matthew got embarrassed and started saying it was too weird.
So we got Zach to do it. But it wasn't as epic because we would all expect that sort of thing from him.
Yes, she is wearing different pants for the computer scene.
It was shot after everything else after I had already started editing and I really didn't wanna change back into jeans.
I think I intended to edit it so you couldn't tell, but I was putting this together at 3 in the morning so...yah...
Ryan's scene is the only one that doesn't loop, and it wasn't even filmed for the purpose of making this video.
It was just a random clip I captured on CamStudio a couple days ago.
I don't know how I managed to pull the journal scene off, but I feel I could have made it a little better.
As I'm running away, I was having to turn on house lights because I hadn't prepared for that shot.
While I was climbing up the ladder, I was giving Zach specific instructions that my butt was not to be in that shot, lol.
It was kind of difficult doing the film shoot for this because at the same time that I was acting, I was directing and queuing Matthew and telling Zach where to point the camera and when to zoom in and out.
But I would like to think that this came together somewhat nicely. I'm pretty proud of it.
The film is blurry ON PURPOSE!
It is supposed to be kinda dreamy.

Perfect Day?!

This video is a little mean. But I tried to not go over the top.
Things have been going good with me and my ex, so I am praying I don't screw it all up with this.
The stuffed animals you will see on the bed were all presents from him, with the exception of the gray lamb, but I got that while I was with him and he liked it a lot.
The bulletin board I tear off the wall was where I kept ticket stubs, receipts, etc. from him.
The blue tank top thingy was given to me by Ryan.
The pipecleaner heart is something I made for Ryan but have yet to send to him.
The I Love You heart pillow was originally connected to the red bear but I tore it off.
The red bear was given to me by my ex for Valentine's this year but I no longer associate it with him.
Instead I pretend it's Ryan while I'm on cam with him and I hug it and loves it lol
The lighting in my room was crappy but I didn't want to be filming in the bathroom the whole time.
This was my first time using CamStudio in my videos, I thought that was kinda neat.
I think this is also my first time to split screen.
The man costume makes an appearance in this one, with my face looking fat as ever.
Props to my mom for buying me that denim jacket =)

I've been really busy lately.

I think I'm gonna work on a video for my little 2nd cousin today.
Several people in my family have seen the footage I took of him on July 4th and it seems to really amuse them.

20th Century Fox/WoW Machinima!

I finished making my spin off of the 20th Century Fox intro!!!
It's 3D and has the fanfare and everything!
I can't wait to use it.
I'll probably stick it in my WoW machinima.
I have actually started working on it with my brother. We created the 3 main characters: Rammathil, Gallilia, and Omnomnom.
I'm pretty excited.

Hopefully Zach can come over and help me out with some of this stuff. I'm really excited!


I'm still working on my Around the World music video, maybe I can finish it tonight.
I keep getting distracted, haha.

Today I shot some footage for my "Around the World" music video.
I'm gonna work on it now and hopefully have it up by tonight.
It's going to be another mini.

I'm having one of those phases where I'm full of ideas but too lazy to act on them.

I have the ability to make WoW machinimas now...
I just don't know what I would do with them, lol.

I really wish I had a REAL video camera (I use a digital).
And a tripod (Yah, I have to stack stuff up in order to have a flat surface for my DIGITAL camera, ugh).
And the real version of Fraps.
And a green screen (even though I have no clue where I would set it up at).

I'm making an intro to my videos.
It's gonna be the 20th Century Fox thingy, except I get to customize what it says.

I have some footage of my little 2nd cousin Ethan playing with a light saber, so I think I'm gonna kinda spoof the Star Wars intro crawling text and then show some of that footage.
It's not gonna be extremely interesting to YouTubers...but my family will enjoy it.

I have started some solo projects so here is my first one.
I guess you could call it a "mini" music video, since I didn't use the whole song.
I wanted to do the whole song, but there are so few lyrics and I didn't know how to keep it interesting.

Gabi Und Klaus

It's in German, so...here's the story!

Klaus and Gabi were together, and Gabi was crazy about Klaus.
But then Klaus tells Gabi, "It's over." (Es ist aus.)
So Gabi cries and she feels terribly lonely.
She goes running through the rain singing, "Life is horrible, life is mean, life is horrible, and Klaus is a pig."

Klaus suddenly decides to actually take time to think and he realizes that he really does like Gabi.
He goes to her, red in the face from embarrassment, asking Gabi to forgive him and take him back.
However, Gabi simply says, "Go away, you idiot!" (Hau ab du Idiot!)
So Klaus is very sad and alone.
And of course, he goes running through the rain singing, "Life is horrible, life is mean, life is horrible, and Gabi is a pig."


I, Nicole, do not actually dress like that.
If I did...that would be weird.

The song in this video is called "Der Letzte Schrei" which is German slang for "The Latest Fashion" but it literally translates to "The Last Scream"

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

My cousin Sarah and I told my brother that we were filming him in order to put him in a music video for his favorite song.
However, we were REALLY filming him as the main character for our Girls Just Wanna Have Fun music video.

I tried to upload it to YouTube and MySpace, but they would not let me because of copyright issues with the song.
